2020 IIHF World Junior Championship

Starting date: December 26, 2019

Ending date: January 5, 2020

The 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship will be in the Czech Republic. This will mark the 44th year of the World Junior Championship and will be hosted in the cities of Ostrava and Trinec. This will mark the 4th time that the World Juniors have been hosted in the Czech Republic.

There will be ten countries represented with two divisions, Group A&B, with five teams. Each team plays four divisional games in a round-robin format. The top four teams from each Division will advance to the quarter finals.

Team Canada will play in Group B play their 1st game on December 26 vs USA at Ostravar Arena. Defending Champions, Team Finland, will play in Group B and play their opening game on December 26th to open the tournament vs Team Sweden at Werk Arena
